I put a lot of time to socializing my babies to make the transition as easy as possible, but keep in mind that when you get your new family member it is used to MY voice, MY touch and MY home. They will still be a bit shaken up from the new surroundings, keep this in mind when your new baby cries for his first and only known family. It will take days and possibly even weeks to get fully adjusted to thier new surroundings, so lots of attention is required for this transition fase.
